Tracee Stanley presents Yoga Nidra & Intention - Awaken Your Radiance

Get in touch with the wisdom of your soul through meditation, writing exercises, and yoga nidra practices. It is time to move beyond old stories and patterns that keep you stuck.

~This workshop will activate your manifestation power, amplify your deserving power and connect you with your ability to thrive and live a purposeful life.

The authentic practice of yoga nidra is a science for deep relaxation, a highly evolved method of meditation, a powerful technique for stress management and self-healing, a way to improve memory, gain greater mastery over the conscious mind, and find the source of lasting inner peace. Yoga nidra can be used as an intriguing system of self-discovery, to guide one into deeper realms of the subconscious and connect to the infinite.

It is said that 40 minutes of yoga nidra can be equivalent to 3 hours of sleep and that in itself is enough to do it!

When we utilize practices like yoga nidra that can support us in deeply restoring and relaxing we have more energy to be awake and aware during our meditation practice. We may feel more refreshed upon waking and our daily routine is inspired with more clarity and stamina.

Friday 6p-9p- learn more about the power of intention, how to identify your deepest desires and begin the process to set them into motion.

Saturday 10a-5p- dive deep with guided meditation, and in the space of heightened awareness, we'll use writing exercises to uncover dormant intention and obstacles. Enjoy lunch onsite, alone in reflection or with others.

Sunday 10a-5p- continue the journey and discover the tools and methods to develop and sustain momentum towards your goals, with increased willpower and determination sustained through the practice.

Bring your favorite blanket, pillow, eye pillow and other comfy props. Bring your journal and something to write with, along with a spillproof bottle.

Yoga of the Divine Feminine with Mary Bruce

Enlivening our Shakti through knowledge, practice, contemplation, meditation, mantra and creativity we will invoke and embody Bhuvaneshwari; Queen of the World and remember ourselves as space holders in and of the universe. We will learn to widen our lens to remember our shared humanity within our diversity and to celebrate each woman, and hold one another in high esteem.

Tantra teaches us that to be fully alive, we must be aware of and able to master all the energies and qualities of our body. Shakti is the spark, the verve, the energy of life - the essence of vibrant health, feeling good in your own skin and feeling that your life has meaning and value.

We recognize that every body has both masculine and feminine traits, yin and yang, ida and pingala - the 2 are always intertwined and together, that potentize and complete the other. Invoking Shakti will allow us to become more potent as we develop greater awareness of the unlimited knowledge, will and action that the Divine Feminine provides.

This workshop will reveal the qualities and attributes attainable through the Shakto of Queen Bhu. Enjoy a complete yoga practice with asana, pranayama (breath practices), and guided meditation. Sunday will bring a transformative experience through Yoga Nidra - the 'yoga nap'.

~Find space for love, peace and expansion in your life!

About this Presenter:

Mary Bruce is an internationally beloved yoga teacher and educator who creates sacred space and presence for her students. Mary is a torch bearer. A beacon of light. A rare guide that is breaking the mold of the modern climate of yoga. Her teachings light us up and help us manifest our deepest desires.

Through a deep connection with each of her students, Mary expresses and teaches in a way that has been described as “pouring the goddess” straight from her mouth. She has an organic, poetic language for her teachings so students find their own inner truth of yoga and living. By being gifted with the ability to be both rooted and wild, gentle and fierce, joyful and deep, Mary’s teaching style integrates all energies so students can truly intersect light and shadow, the god and goddess. Her gentle and calming attention help her students find comfort in the moments of discomfort and to build confidence while challenging the edges of their self limitations.

Mary teaches all levels with an emphasis on the philosophical teachings of yoga that remain true to her linage. You will not find her classes “dumbed down” or diluted. She trusts her students' ability to understand the essence of yoga. While she pays honor to what has been passed onto her, she also stays true to herself and most importantly- true to each student, meeting them all exactly where they are. She guides her classes through all layers of yoga- from the flesh to the bone to the soul. She brings attention to detail (alignment), awareness of breath (pranayama), connection with divine source (bhavana), intelligent sequencing (vinyasa krama),
as well as, Ayurveda, visualization, meditation, mantra and more to each and every one of her classes.

Her wish for each student is that they practice expressing who they truly are. To radically embody that truth. And that their truth bring greater peace, to themselves, to this world. A yoga teacher since 1997, Mary considers herself a forever student and began her journey in 1995 with Julie Crutchfield. She was so inspired by what she learned with Julie she continued her studies with her Teacher Yogarupa Rod Stryker in 1998. Mary Bruce is now a senior student of Rod Stryker’s and is Level II ParaYoga® Certified, a Certified Four Desires Trainer and a member of the Para Yoga certification board. She is also a 500 hour E-RYT Yoga Alliance teacher, a Relax and Renew trainer under the mentorship of Judith Lasiter, a certified Yoga Nidra Facilitator and a Reike Master. About this Presenter:

Jeff Masters LMT, C-IAYT, MPCT, Msc. (Hon.), is an energetically informed therapist and teacher and founder of the Masters Institute, an organization dedicated to vibrant health, wellness and the realization of our fully actualized potential.

In the past 30 years, he has studied consciousness and the human energy with some of the most luminous minds in the fields of mind/body science including Marcel Vogel (IBM & Psychic Research Inc.), Paul St. John (St. John’s Neuromuscular Therapy), Rama Jyoti Vernon (International Yoga College), Vasant Lad (The Ayurvedic Institute) and Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, PhD. (The Himalayan Institute).

Jeff was met at a young age with an experience that challenged his view of reality, which led to an early life of openness and curiosity about the world of the unseen.

At eight years old, Jeff began his dedicated practice martial arts, and was initiated into meditation and yoga.

Jeff studied with Joyce Needles, and began to hone his energy awareness and intuitive skills. Prompted by his desire to learn about the healing arts, Joyce introduced him to Ms. Ronnie Turner to continue to hone Jeff’s body working and energy skills.  She would become his life long mentor in the healing arts. Guided by Joyce and Ronnie, Jeff would develop the skills of seeing and sensing energy in the body and the energetic techniques or soft tissue manipulations, to release or re-route these subtle patterns.

He graduated High School early, and moved to San Jose to begin working as a research and development tech and technical intuitive for Marcel Vogel, a former researcher and development scientist for IBM. Shortly later, Jeff joined the United States Army as a Military Intelligence specialist and continued his meditation, martial arts, combined with military combat training. This allowed Jeff to ground many of the energies and skills that he had developed over the first sixteen years of his life into his body.

In December 1993, while still in the Army, Jeff gave his first workshop, “Energy Awareness, Cultivation and Transference” at Creative Crossroads in Oakhurst, CA.

At 25, Jeff left the Army and relocated to Pennsylvania to complete a life long dream of becoming a certified, licensed massage therapist…two weeks into the program he was asked to teach!!

From 2001 onward, Jeff has dedicated his life to assisting as many people as possible through individual sessions as well as intensive classes, workshops and retreats. Jeff’s deep and varied background creates a rich and accessible learning environment for his students and clients. From hands on bodywork to classroom based lecture and instruction, Jeff’s students share one thing in common: his unwavering commitment to their journey along the path of self-discovery and personal transformation.

Jeff is a certified and registered Yoga instructor and Yoga Therapist with over 1,200 hours of education and clinical experience. He is a graduate of the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, has been certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and awarded an honorary masters degree in Anatomy and Physiology from the Open International University for Complimentary Medicine.

His focus over the last five years has been the exploration of yoga’s foundational texts and the integration of ancient principles with modern science and medicine.

He has been a feature presenter for:

ToughTalks - The Difficulty of SelfCare

ToughTalks - The Difficulty of SelfCare

Inspired by TedTalks, ToughTalks helps women express difficult topics in a safe and supportive environment. We’re experiencing an age of acceleration, a rise of the divine feminine and all of her attributes. We’re at a turning point in society and in order to become enlightened, we have to shine a light in the darker shadows of our experience.

February's Topic is Self-Love - why is it so hard to make time for ME?

We'll consider some of the following questions:

  • How do I schedule self-care into my busy life
  • How did my parents practice self care / did that work for them?
  • Do I emulate their patterns? Is that working for me?
  • Why isn’t selfcare on my daily calendar?
  • What is the relationship between mental health and selfcare patterns throughout my life?
  • How do I see myself
  • How often do I undervalue fresh food and rest?
  • Am I in denial about the definition of good health and how I incorporate it into my life?
  • Is selfcare is too expensive?

Learn about some basic routines to help support your primary concerns for short and long term health and happiness.

The intention of this workshop is to discuss tough topics, how they affect us, how they manifest themselves as emotions, and finally, to develop tools for daily healing and self-care.

When we learn to love and care for ourselves, we bring our best selves, and see the best in everyone.

An Introduction to Tantric Yoga
Jan

2:00 PM14:00

An Introduction to Tantric Yoga

The popular understanding of Tantra is very limited, and in most cases, quite incorrect! Modern Tantra mainly focuses on the physical, dramatic, and exotic. Traditional Tantra is a complex science, guided by spiritual traditions from ancient India and beyond.

The goals of traditional Tantra Yoga and Meditation practices are spiritual and material abundance, evolved beyond the dogma of religion, or other exclusive beliefs. Tantra weaves together the mundane and divine, understanding that all of creation is a gift not to be wasted.

In this workshop you will gain an understanding of the origins of Tantra, how to apply its techniques in a modern age, Tantra and the body, emotions, kundalini tantra and external rituals and practices.

We will have a discussion, learn chanting, and practice yoga asanas and meditation. You will be given a practice to enjoy over the next 30 days, to provide a real life experience of how your life can be transformed.

You will leave with a better understanding of what Tantra is, what it is not, and how to apply it in your life and practice. You are the architect of your destiny - you can embody indomitable will, knowledge and the ability and power to reach your goals.

We will also introduce the MahaVidyas - the ten Wisdom Goddesses of the Tantric tradition and attempt to answer questions you may have about Tantra.

The origin of this knowledge comes from the Himalayan Institute of Yoga Science and Philosophy, under the teachings of Living Yoga with Pandit Rajmani Tiguniat, Ph.D, Sanskrit Scholar and lifelong Tantric Yoga practioner.

Yoga Nidra - the Science of Enlightened Sleep

Learn more about Yoga Nidra, and experience its healing benefits.

What is Yoga Nidra?

It is a powerful guided relaxation process, that relaxes deep tissues, soothes the nervous system, and allows your body & mind the space to heal. Yoga Nidra helps prepare and deepen your meditation experience, by allowing you to get out of your own way - experiencing the mind settle and the body rest.

Modern science has shown that 1 hour of Yoga Nidra is worth 4 hours of deep sleep. A typical Yoga Nidra practice as offered in the US is between 15 and 40 minutes depending on the environment and intention of the practice.

Yoga Nidra is commonly used for therapeutic healing for the mind and senses, improved memory, physical healing and restoration, as well as a vehicle to abide in a state beyond sleeping, waking and dreaming.

What to expect: come prepared to rest and relax. Wear comfy clothes where you will feel warm and secure. Feel free to bring a small pillow, favorite blanket, neck or eye pillow. We have blankets, blocks and bolsters.

After a brief explanation, we'll go through an exercise to loosen up joints and glands to prepare the body to rest. Lie in savasana (resting on your back) and just follow the guided journey of relaxation, sensory awareness, mental release, physical healing and an experience of equanimity and clarity.

Ayurveda - The Science of Life: Foundations & Philosophy

Ayurveda, ancient yet timeless, gives you the means of attaining and maintaining your own optimal health and well-being. The benefits of Ayurvedic medicine have been proven over centuries of use, and its methodologies are as applicable today in the West as they were thousands of years ago in India.

Ayurveda is the traditional healing modality of the Vedic culture from India. It is said to be 2000 to 5000 years old, meaning it has stood the test of time. Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word that literally translates as “the wisdom of life” or “the knowledge of longevity”. In accordance with this definition, Ayurvedic medicine views health as much more than the absence of disease. The wise seers and sages of the time, intuitively understanding the physiology and workings of the mind-body-spirit long before the advents of modern medicine, explained the basic principles of Ayurveda.

Ayurvedic medicine was originally an oral tradition, taught and passed directly from teacher to apprentice, who would learn and work side by side. The oldest written codification of Ayurvedic principles is found in the Rig Veda. The fundamentals are then laid out in several major treatises, including the texts from Charaka, Sushruta, and Vaghbhat. There are also numerous other smaller works, written over time to explain the various branches of Ayurveda, which include disciplines such as general medicine, pediatrics, surgery, toxicology, fertility, and rejuvenation. The beauty in the way these have been explained is that they rely on basic principles which can be applied practically in any day and age.

Ayurveda has thus been passed down through the centuries as a complete healing system, evolving to meet the needs of the time, and yet remaining committed to its core principles. Various cultures have drawn upon the ideas of Ayurvedic medicine, and it continues to thrive in both the East and the West. In India, an Ayurvedic physician must undergo at least a 5 year post-graduate degree program (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) to become qualified. In the West, Ayurveda is recognized as a Complementary and Alternative Health System by the National Institutes of Health, and is blossoming in various educational institutions.
